Testimonial for a dinosaur themed party using our face painting and art lesson services.

Hi Debby, I just wanted to say thank you again for making Caroline’s party “the BEST day ever”. She had a wonderful time and so did all of her friends!! I got some terrific pictures of all of the painted smiling faces. I still have no idea how I had 12 kids in my house, ages 6 and younger for over an hour and it was so quiet!?!? You guys worked magic and if you ever need a referral.. please don’t hesitate to give out my number/email!!!

Thanks again for everything!!! Ann

By the way.. my younger daughter has already started talking about her painting party she is going to have for her birthday.. so we may be doing this again in September!

Testimonial from a mother whose child has been our student for several years.

The Creative Side Art classes has helped self confidence and expression. The praise for her good work /accomplishments has given her pride and self confidence in her work. It has helped her take criticism better. My daughter is a perfectionist and likes everything to be just right. Her confidence shows when she is willing to share techniques and ideas with others in her class.

Testimonial given by a mother of a student who has been attending classes for a few months.

Dear Debby:

I have loved having Kelsey involved in your art class – and she has loved it as well. I’ve known since she was a toddler that she has an artistic eye (and mind) and I’m so glad you offer an environment where she can explore that.

I do love the small class setting, the grouping of children with a common interest, and especially the encoragement and recognition they give each other as they see thier artwork unfold. There is nothing “wrong”, no grade, only artistic expression and personal focus. My daughter was surprised at her own accomplishments and I truly feel that for the artistically inclined child, providing this outlet is critical to personal development and self-confidence. It has been a wonderful experience so far and the convenience of having it after-school would be oustanding. We would most-definitely take part in that.

Testimonial from a parent whose child has recently begun taking our classes.

Debbie,

Our daughter, after only a few classes, finally feels she is good at something. School and sports do notcome easily for her but she has the ability to express herself through her art. The positive reinforcementshe gets in class and from those who see her drawings have really made a difference in her self esteem.Thank you so much. Every child should have a chance to develop whatever talent they have, which than enriches other areas of their lives and academics.

Debby, I just want to say that my daughter Isabella Dillon loves her art class every Friday. Her skills have improved so much since she first began two years ago or more. She has remained with you for several reasons. Sherry is fantastic with the children and inspires them to do well. She has great patience and finds their individual strengths and likes. Isabella loves the friendly environment created in the classroom and the comraderie between the students and the friendships she has made. She recently recieved a “Best of Show” ribbon for her whole grade at the Fredericksburg Christian School arts festival this month which was a great achievement as the standard there is so high. The skills she learned and the different media possibilities available from your classes made a huge difference to her success. Isabella will not trade her art classes for any other activity. Thank you for offering these classes. Isabella will continue to take them for a long time to come.

Testimonial given by a mother with two children in our classes.

The classes offered by the Creative Side are absolutely wonderful and they have enhanced the self esteem of both of my sons. My youngest son has ADHD and your non-critical, stress-free environment allows my son to express himself in a positive manner through art. In your innovative classes, he never has to worry about getting it “right.” My oldest son is dyslexic and struggles with reading. This past year, his self confidence plummeted as he strived to keep up with his peers. We enrolled him in the Creative Side Art classes just for fun, but within several months he was identified as being eligible for the county’s gifted program in the Visual Arts. His school art teacher commented that his portfolio was “Amazing!” What a boost to both boys’ confidence levels!

I highly recommend The Creative Side to aspiring young artists. The benefits are priceless.

Testimonial given about our Lousia classes

Miss Jo’s class Our daughter has given up on nearly every activity she’s been in: soccer, yoga, gymnastics, ballet/tap, church activities, etc.; plus, she’s really shy, so isn’t inclined to try a whole lot. The exception: she LOVES her art classes through The Creative Side (at Louisa County Parks & Rec)!!! She’s excited to go and enjoys being in class. Miss Jo is just lovely: kind, gentle, friendly, patient, and seems to genuinely enjoy teaching the kids. We are ending our third month of classes, and looking forward to many more. Thank you so much! Louisa & Scot.

Testimonial given by a father of a Long Time Student.

Hi Debbi,

I just got a look at Alec’s lastest drawing last night. I try not to ask too much about it or see it before he thinks it is done.

I was ASTOUNDED! His mother and I just looked at each other in disbelief.

I just want to thank you and Brandon and the others who help him, for taking the time to help him realize his potential.

He is going to enter it into the art show at the community center.

He has come so far in just a year.

Thank you again.

Regards,

Ron
